Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
Yes. All employees can participate. All resources will be available at the plant level and all employees can access the platform via any device connected to the internet.
No. Any TE employee can participate, regardless if they have a TE device or not.
Feel free to create a new email address (such as a Gmail) just for this if you don't want to share your personal email address. Alternatively, have someone else sign the team up that has a TE email or is comfortable using their personal email.
Yes. However, it is important to keep in mind that by joining more than one team you will have to invest more time in the challenges.
To earn points toward potential prizes, a minimum of 2 employees and a recommended maximum of 10 employees can be on a team. Please note: if individuals do not want to be on a team, they are still encouraged to leverage the development resources via the Grow@TE SharePoint. Additionally, if you have more than 10 people wanting to be on a team, it is recommended to split that team into multiple teams to get the most out of the challenges.
Absolutely! Be sure to still fill out the sign-up form and simply select that you are joining as an individual. Please note: to be eligible to win the global and/or segment prize, a minimum of two employees on a team is required.
Platform experience
You can use the platform to complete the first challenge – updating your team profile, posting a picture, slogan or logo. You can use it to view challenges, track results, post updates and photos to the GROW@TE feed and view scoreboard. Not everyone on your team needs access – just the team leader. However, the team leader can share logon details with the members of their team and even every team member can update their profile if they wish.
You can see scoreboard updates in The Grow@TE Games platform.
Challenges and prizes
See answer under “sign-up and platform experience”.
Challenges will be released every week for you to work on. Notifications from the platform will be sent to those who uploaded their profiles with an e-mail address. Or at least the team lead will receive when challenges will be available. You can find the challenges on your home page and Challenges page in the platform
Points will be rewarded toward teams that complete the challenges. These points are being rewarded based on the integrity of the teams submitting that they completed the challenges. With integrity being a core value to our organization, this is of utmost importance that the highest integrity is upheld.
Prizes will be given out for the Overall winner in TE and for the top team of each segment level. However, people leaders are encouraged to think about prizes for your own BUs or functions or specific TE offices or manufacturing sites.
Segment winners (one for each segment): All expenses paid meal to celebrate as a team. Global winner (one winner): Choose your own adventure of the 3 E’s of development (Pick one of the three options below):
- Education: Development workshop (up to $1k) and/or LinkedIn Licenses for all team members
- Exposure: Lunch with a leader (subject to leader availability)
- Experience: Teambuilding fun (up to $1k) (i.e. local activity or virtual session), PTO day (where locally applicable /allowed) OR Cause Card ($1k) - Donation to a Charity of the team’s Choice
Your site or team may have specific prizes they are giving out to winners at the local or team level. Please inquire with your HR Partner or local Grow@TE Games volunteer.
We are bringing more interactivity this year and allows teams to do this in the flow of their work without having to spend a lot of extra time out of work. Having challenges gives the chance for teams to work together to accomplish important development opportunities and potentially win prizes along the way!
